  Space

Vision Statement
The video will have a structure of chronology in size of space. All the video will be handheld to represent the eyes of the viewer. The piece will start inside a closet. From there, it will go into a room, into a hallway, down stairs, into a lobby, out onto a street. From the one street, it will go to another street, onto the boardwalk, onto the beach, to the edge of the water. Each transition will be from a smaller place to a larger place.

Theme
The theme is the required concept of space. I hope that the viewer feels claustrophobic in the room like structure but sees the widening spaces in the video. Although there is more of a progression in this piece than the montage, I hope to incorporate elements of abstraction and montage into the video.

Style
The style will be handheld to represent the video being from the viewers' point of view. Also, the video moving around and being handheld while being the tight confines of the physical space will give the sense of things not being as they seem.

Point of View
There will be no sound. The idea of seeing beach video and not hearing sound while inside the structure will add to the perception of discomfort.
